Overview

The PLACID PSO Speech Privacy Testing System is an advanced systemfor determining a safe speech zone. It determines the range of speech intelligibility below the definition of speech intelligibility. When a purpose-modulated signal is used to define the critical areas of the space under consideration, it operates on the same premise as the STI or STIPa index measurement. An acoustic measurement microphone which measures the transmission of sound from the speaker to any surrounding object that can transmit sound, is used to make the measurement.
