Bending / Flexural Jigs
Bending grips, also known as flexural grips, are used for determining the flexural properties of rigid and semi-rigid materials such as glass, ceramics, composites, wood and rigid plastics.
Our bending jigs are designed for compressive 3-point and 4-point bend applications.
They are available in aluminium and steel and are supplied with a set of anvils or rollers. The bending jigs cover a temperature range of -70°C to +180°C.

Bollard Grips
Bollard grips are suitable for a wide range of samples such as fibre, yarn, thread, rope, string and strapping tape.
The grips are designed so that the sample can be wrapped around the bollards and clamped at one end. This helps to reduce the sample suffering a jaw break and spreads the load around the bollard by introducing friction to the sample.

Compression Plates
Round, square and rectangular compression plates are used for general compression testing.
Our compression plates are available in aluminium for testing soft samples such as cardboard, plastics, rubber, foams, lightweight springs, bottles and cartons. They are also available in hardened steel for testing rubber, plastics, heavy duty springs, building products, composites and ceramics.

Eccentric Roller Grips
Eccentric roller grips are ideal for all types of flat samples such as rubber, plastic film, plastic dumbbells, paper and cardboard, sheet metal and foils.
We offer a range of self-tightening eccentric roller grips where the grip tightens as the sample is pulled.

Hydraulic Grips
Our range of hydraulic grips cover grips with either single or double actuator.
Single actuator grips have one side adjusted by manual tightening action screw. These grips are suitable for offset sample alignment for shear testing. They are ideal for all types of samples, including rubber, plastic dumbbells, metal, fabrics and composites. All hydraulic grips are suitable for use with hydraulic pumps.

Peel and Friction Grips
The peel and friction grips come in different designs and are ideal for peeling samples at 90°, 180°, performing T-peel and COF.

Pincer Grips
Pincer grips are ideal for testing small component parts such as electrical and electronic components where access is an issue.
We offer a range of small vice action pincer grips, both as direct connect and options of a connecting chain for self alignment.

Pneumatic Grips
The pneumatic grips are ideal for all types of flat samples such as rubber, plastic film, plastic dumbbells, paper and cardboard, sheet metal, foils, wood, fabrics and composites.
Our pneumatic grips come as single and double actuators. Single actuator grips have one side adjusted by manual tightening action either by thumb screw or T-bar. These grips are suitable for offset sample alignment for shear testing. All pneumatic grips are auitable for use with the foot and hand

Ribbon and Webbing Grips
Grips with a split C-design allow the user to wrap the sample around a self-tightening roller and feed the sample back upon itself by winding the sample into the grip.
Samples can be manually pre-tensioned before a test starts.

Scissor Grips
The scissor grip is ideal for all types of flat samples such as rubber, plastic film, plastic dumbbells, paper and cardboard, sheet metal and foils.
The initial grip is provided by spring tension and the ratio of clamping force to tensile force changes according to the opening width.
The larger the opening, the stronger the grips tighten on the specimen.
The jaws tighten themselves during force application.

Thread Head Grips
Thread head grips consist of a two-part fixture. The main body is chosen to fit the eye end of the machine and the load cell, and the insert is chosen to fit the diameter of the thread on the sample.
Samples are machined dumbbells with metric threads. Inserts are also available for bolts and screws.

Vice Grips
Vice grips are ideal for all types of flat samples.
The grips are single action or dual action and allow offset sample alignment for shear testing. The vice grips have manual tightening action either by thumb screw or T-bar.

Wedge Grips
We offer a range of wedge grips for general tension testing of metals and plastic.
The wedge design of the grip means the grip tightens on the sample as the force increases.
Initial force can be applied by various methods such as side lever, capstan action wheel or screw action. Faces are interchangeable for different sample types and dimensions.
